Latitude 32°, a cocktail and snack bar with tables right on the pontoons among the moored yachts and boats. We visited on 28 September 2026 and had the shrimp, mango and pistachio sandwich and tempura green beans. The menu had sandwiches and snacks from €7.50 to €17.50, omelettes, desserts and ice cream. Open daily 10:00–23:00 (confirmed by the venue, 28 September 2026).
BrunchVille, next door to Latitude 32°, with a deck over the water under yellow parasols. We saw it open with customers on 28 September 2026 but didn't eat there. The menu that day listed brunch plates, bowls, bagels, pancakes, waffles and soft tacos, mostly €15–19.50, plus cocktails. Hours confirmed by the venue on 28 Sep 2026: Mon–Thu 9:00–22:00, Fri–Sat 9:00–01:00, Sun 9:00–20:00; live music or a DJ on Saturdays.

Local news reported The Roastery opening in April 2026 as the first café in the new dining area, with a terrace, breakfasts and cheese boards and wine later in the day. We haven't visited it yet, so we don't give hours or prices.
What's changed at the marina
The port authority, APRAM, spent about €5 million renovating the commercial area and its surroundings. Keys to the 32 units were handed to the concessionaire in November 2025. By May 2026, 75–80% were let, and in September 2026 Marina Blu announced that every unit was let. Venues are still opening one by one.

Getting there
The marina is on Avenida do Mar, a few minutes' walk from the Sé cathedral and the CR7 Museum, and on the way in from the cruise terminal (see our cruise port day guide). Zona Velha is about 10 minutes' walk east. A wheelchair ramp runs down from the promenade to the bars and restaurants.

Has Funchal Marina reopened?
Yes, in stages. The marina's commercial area on Avenida do Mar was renovated, and venues began opening during 2026. In September 2026 the letting company, Marina Blu, announced that all units had been let. Not every unit is trading yet, so we list only venues we have confirmed open.
What bars and restaurants are open at Funchal Marina?

When the commercial area was handed to the concessionaire in November 2025, it comprised 32 units: 4 restaurants, 3 café and drinks spaces, 9 shops, 10 tourist-activity units and 6 storage units.
Where is Funchal Marina?
On Funchal's seafront, along Avenida do Mar between the city centre and the cruise terminal, with the CR7 Museum close by. From the Sé cathedral it's about a 5-minute walk down to the water.
Can I book boat trips at the marina?
Yes. Dolphin and whale-watching, catamaran and sailing trips leave from the marina and the adjoining pier, and the new commercial area includes 10 units set aside for tourist activities.
