Marisqueira na Marina: restaurant in Madeira
Marisqueira na Marina serves seafood cooking in Funchal Marina. Prices are mid-range (€€) and the house speciality is Shellfish charcoal-grilled in a Josper oven.
New seafood restaurant right on Funchal Marina, with a glass-fronted dining room under the promenade and a wooden deck over the water shaded by big cream parasols. Oysters, prawns and seafood platters sit alongside shellfish charcoal-grilled in a Josper oven, carabinero rice and a cervejaria-style steak. Open every day 11:00 to 23:00. We visited on 13 October 2026.

About Marisqueira na Marina
The menu is built for sharing: tomato bread with seaweed butter, salt cod fritters, Bulhão Pato clams, fish tacos and a sashimi trilogy with fish from the market. For two, there are plateaux and big dishes such as wild sea bass in a salt crust and carabinero rice baked in the Josper.
Shellfish is sold by the kilo and grilled over charcoal, so ask the team for the day's selection and prices. Black scabbardfish fish and chips (€17.50) and mussels with red curry (€24) are the easier-priced mains.
