About Franco's Corner
Franco's Corner is a mid-range portuguese, international and seafood restaurant in Funchal — São Martinho
If you only order one thing, make it the seafood risotto; prawn-topped meat dishes; cocktails — it's what the kitchen is known for and what regulars come back for.
Franco's Corner has quietly become one of São Martinho's best-rated dining rooms, a short walk from the Lido hotel strip. The kitchen plates with real care: a saffron-tinted risotto crowned with candied orange zest arrives ringed by seared scallops finished with caviar, roe and edible flowers, and the prawn-topped meat dishes come in rich jus with vegetables on the side.
Cocktails are a strength and there is outdoor seating for warm evenings. Note the split service — lunch runs 12:00–15:30 and dinner 18:00–23:00 Monday to Friday, Saturday is dinner only, and the restaurant is closed all day Sunday. Booking ahead is wise, especially at weekends.
